We spent a full day at Longleat with five of us — myself, Henry, H, his girlfriend C, and Moo — starting with the safari park in the morning, moving on to the walk-around attractions in the afternoon, and finishing with the Festival of Lights. The whole day felt calm, well-spaced and very accessible, with the safari being a great low-pressure way to start and the lights best enjoyed as soon as they switch on, before it gets busier. It was an absolutely fantastic day that worked for different needs and energy levels. Check out the blog for more info.

We arrived at Bath Christmas Market early, by around 9.30am, which made the whole experience far more relaxed before the crowds built later in the day. Parking at Podium Car Park was easy, with plenty of spaces and a very short walk into the city. We were able to walk the full circuit of the Christmas market as well as explore Bath’s shop

Parking at Podium Car Park was easy, with plenty of spaces and a very short walk into the city. We were able to walk the full circuit of the Christmas market as well as explore Bath’s shops, which are well worth visiting alongside the stalls. The festive atmosphere was fantastic, with music throughout the city from buskers to the Salvation Army, and a free shoppers’ carol service in Bath Abbey was a real highlight. It was a wonderful, festive day enjoyed by all of us.

Incoming soon, we visit on 21/12/25

If you’re ever in Cardiff (or anywhere near South Wales), Techniquest is an absolute must-visit—especially if you’ve got curious kids or a love for all things science.
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Honestly, some of the best customer service we’ve ever had anywhere. The staff didn’t just welcome us—they saw us. They understood our needs without us having to explain, and even told us about the free carer tickets without us having to ask. That kind of awareness is rare and deeply appreciated.
Inside, the place is packed with hands-on exhibits that are as fun as they are educational. Moo and Henry were completely in their element—exploring robotic arms, solving puzzles, triggering experiments, and soaking up science facts. It’s designed to be engaging for all ages and abilities, and you can really feel that in every corner of the space.
Accessibility? Spot on. The toilets were spotless and easy to access, and the whole building is laid out with inclusion in mind. You could easily spend the entire day there (we nearly did), and it’s great value for money—even if you’re paying for all the tickets.

Final verdict?
Techniquest isn’t just a science centre—it’s a place where everyone feels welcome, where learning is fun, and where inclusion isn’t just a buzzword. We give it a full 10/10 and will absolutely be going back.
If you’re looking for a day out that’s fun, inclusive, educational, and genuinely joyful—Techniquest delivers.

We’ve just come back from In It Together Festival and honestly, what a weekend! Whether you’re heading there as a couple, with mates, or with the whole family in tow—this is one of those rare festivals that truly has something for everyone.

We’ve just come back from In It Together Festival and honestly, what a weekend! Whether you’re heading there as a couple, with mates, or with the whole family in tow—this is one of those rare festivals that truly has something for everyone.
First off, the vibe was incredible. Friendly faces everywhere, helpful staff, and a crowd that just radiated positivity. It was busy, but never overwhelming—and we always felt safe and relaxed. The layout was well thought out, and even with 40,000 people on site, everything ran smoothly.
There were multiple stages catering to all music tastes—each with its own personality. The main stage delivered hit after hit with some huge names, while the dance tent had its own electric energy (you could hear the bass from across the site!). There was also a stage dedicated to emerging talent which was a brilliant way to discover new acts—we spent far longer there than we expected!
Families were spoilt for choice too. The fairground rides were a massive hit with the kids, and there were endless activities to keep little ones entertained—from circus skills and craft tents to interactive shows and character appearances. It’s rare to find a festival that genuinely includes all ages, but this one nailed it.
The food options were top-tier. From street food classics to vegan delights, there was something for every taste, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for a festival of this scale. We never had to queue long either—always a bonus!
Accessibility was one of the best we’ve experienced. The team were fantastic—friendly, proactive, and genuinely focused on making sure everyone could enjoy the festival. From accessible viewing platforms to quiet spaces and thoughtful layout design, it felt inclusive in every way.
We were so impressed, we’ve already booked our tickets for 2026. If you’re even thinking about it—don’t hesitate. Join us (and 40,000 other happy festival-goers) next year for a weekend of unforgettable memories, great music, and an atmosphere that’s hard to beat. See you there!

I recently took Moo and my niece to Twist Museum on Oxford Street, and honestly, it was one of the most fun, engaging days out we’ve had in ages. From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was like entering a world where the rules didn’t apply—and that’s exactly what made it so brilliant.
The girls were absolutely mesmerised. Every room had something new to explore—optical illusions, gravity-defying spaces, mirrors that stretched us in every direction, and colours and lights that felt like stepping into another dimension. Watching their faces light up with amazement (and a bit of confusion!) was just magic. There were so many moments of pure joy, laughter, and genuine wonder.
What I loved most was how accessible and welcoming the whole experience was. The staff were brilliant—patient, friendly, and full of great tips to help us get the best out of each illusion (and yes, they’ll happily help you get that perfect photo!). It felt like such a safe and inclusive space for neurodivergent kids like Moo to explore at her own pace, and she absolutely thrived.
If you’re looking for something different to do in London—especially with children or teens—Twist Museum is a total win. Educational, exciting, and bursting with moments you’ll be talking about long after you’ve left. We’ll definitely be going back!
